About

Breaking lifelong patterns in thinking, behaviour, and nervous system response—across anxiety, relationships, and communication

I have over 20 years of experience in mental and integrative health and I serve clients across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. I am in person in Vancouver BC.

My foundation is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy — one of the most researched and effective approaches for anxiety, stress, and the patterns that keep people stuck. But I’ve never believed one size fits all.

After years of clinical work, I’ve learned that lasting change rarely comes from a single technique. Depending on what you’re bringing into the room, I draw on a range of approaches — working top-down through thought patterns and beliefs, or bottom-up through the body and emotional experience when deeply held schemas need more than logic to shift.

Sometimes the work is behavioural — understanding the function of what you’re doing and building toward something more workable. Sometimes it’s relational — creating enough safety that the parts of you that have been running the show can finally loosen their grip. And sometimes the most overlooked piece is the most practical one: identifying the concrete problems that anxiety and stress have quietly made harder to solve.

Many clients notice a shift within the first few sessions as they begin learning how to change their thinking at a foundational level.

I am also trained in Clinical Hypnosis, which I integrate as one tool within a broader therapeutic approach — not as a standalone treatment. When it fits, hypnosis can accelerate the work we’re already doing together, particularly for anxiety, stress responses, and deeply held patterns that haven’t shifted through talk alone.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice (RCC #17210), registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I am also an Executive Board Member and Faculty with the BC Clinical Hypnosis Society and a standing member of the BC College of Teachers.
